You can put that link back to course page in the sidebar too if you'd like. Just click on Layout, and the add gadget button in the sidebar to add Links or blogroll. It's pretty clear, I think.
Pretty cool! You'll have to give a demonstration about how to do this--I haven't done very much with this sort of personalizing myself.
